What Our Patients Say
Read from some of our grateful patients who got to experience first hand the connections way of therapy.
Working with Ken has been nothing short of life-changing. My MS has caused severe balance and mobility issues so Ken created a customized, patient centered therapy plan. He showed incredible patients and expertise every step of the way. He listened intently to how I was feeling each session, gently challenging me on my good days and adapting exercises on the days that were tough for me. Thanks to his dedicated care, I am able to continue my exercises at home. I cannot recommend him enough.

There are simply not enough words to express how deeply grateful I am for the exceptional care, dedication, and expertise you have demonstrated throughout Kerby’s recovery and rehabilitation following his hemorrhagic stroke.
Kerby’s stroke at the age of 61 was an incredibly traumatic and life-altering experience for our entire family, including our three children, their spouses, and our grandchildren. After five weeks in the neurological intensive care unit followed by four months of inpatient rehabilitation, our family was physically and emotionally exhausted. When Ken began working with Kerby four years ago, he was wheelchair-bound and could barely support himself, even while sitting.
From the very beginning, it was clear to me that Ken was a true godsend. His compassion, dedication, encouragement, patience, and exceptional clinical expertise made an extraordinary difference in Kerby’s recovery. Ken’s professionalism and positive attitude provided not only outstanding physical therapy, but also a tremendous source of reassurance and hope for our family.
As Kerby’s wife, primary caregiver, and a Registered Nurse, I understood the complexity of his condition and the many challenges he faced. Ken consistently approached his rehabilitation with both skill and compassion, recognizing that his recovery involved much more than his physical limitations. Ken took the time to listen to both of us, answer our questions, and address Kerby’s physical and emotional challenges with patience and understanding.
At every session, Ken made sure Kerby felt safe, respected, and encouraged. Ken challenged him to push through difficult moments while always recognizing his limitations and ensuring that he progressed safely. Ken went above and beyond by creating, explaining, and teaching us exercises that we could safely perform at home on the days when he did not have therapy with him. Ken’s willingness to invest that additional time and effort played an important role in his continued progress.
The results of Ken’s dedication have been nothing short of remarkable. After three years of continuously working with him, Kerby is no longer wheelchair-bound. He is now able to walk with a quad cane and navigate several stairs. His progress has been so significant that we were able to remove the wheelchair ramp from the front of our home. Most importantly, we are once again able to travel to Delaware frequently to visit our children and grandchildren, something we once feared might never be possible again.
Ken has helped give Kerby back a level of independence and quality of life that has profoundly impacted not only him, but our entire family. The physical improvements are remarkable, but the hope, confidence, and dignity that he helped restore to him are equally meaningful.
Ken’s compassion, dedication, encouragement, and exceptional expertise make him an outstanding physical therapist and an extraordinary human being. We will forever be grateful for the countless hours, unwavering support, and genuine care he has given Kerby throughout his recovery.
Thank you for believing in him, encouraging him, and never giving up on him. Our family will always remember the tremendous role you played in helping Kerby reclaim his independence and quality of life.
